Project brief/
The Simeone Automotive Museum was the backdrop for this affair, boasting 250+ attendees. This charity event, called The Fur Ball, benefiting Morris Animal Refuge, took inspiration from Havana, Cuba with regards to decor, entertainment & food.
Lighting - The museum is quite cavernous and open, which made it important to create a more intimate feeling through light. Blue uplighting was cast on the ceiling to mimic the night sky, while low hanging lanterns and globe lights were strung over tables to decrease the vastness of the space.
Entertainment - Conjunto Philadelphia greeted guests with authentic cuban music during the gala's cocktail hour. Later in the evening, DJ Perry Angelozzi packed the dance floor with a mixture of crowd favorites and tunes with latin flair. Dance troupe, Project Moshen, also took to the dance floor to perform a special salsa number for guests to enjoy before hitting the dance floor themselves.
Decor Highlights - Lush botanical canopies were fabricated and hung above a series of community tables that framed in the bar area, which held two 11 foot bars with cigar box backdrops. Banana leaf centerpieces adorned tables, and a 16 foot botanical backdrop with vintage car served as a photo backdrop for attendees.
